FREEDOM FROM OFFENSE!

FREEDOM FROM OFFENSE!

Blessings beloved friend,

Happy New month and welcome to today’s Wisdom Wednesday! Here is where we come to glean essential truths for purposeful living. Please be sure to drop your comments as you share your thoughts with me and others in this community. Friends, our wisdom word to consider and dissect today is OFFENSE!

One of my favourite authors of all time, John Bevere in his bestselling book, The Bait of Satan, said “Many are unable to function properly in their calling because of the wounds and hurts that offenses have caused in their lives. They are handicapped and hindered from fulfilling their full potential.”

Friends, Father GOD brings His wisdom to us today. I perceive that for someone, this is the singular hindrance to the breakthrough, change, miracle, next level and intervention you need from the Father to advance victoriously in the new year! IT IS TIME TO LET GO OF ALL OFFENSE SO YOU CAN MAKE PROGRESS AND RECEIVE ADVANCEMENT IN 2021.

Friends, #OffenseIsATrap! Like John said in his book referenced above, it is a veiled bait that satan uses to rob us of the best of GOD that is available to us. Check out the scripture in Numbers 20:7-12. GOD told Moses to SPEAK to the rock and water would come forth for the children of Israel to drink, but, because of their incessant whining and complaint, Moses became offended at them and in his anger, he struck the rock twice, contrary to GOD’s instruction of speaking to the rock. Though GOD honoured the provision of water, but the root cause of that offense made Moses lose a very vital part of GOD’s intention for his life and ministry! Friends, #OffenseIsAFence! Offence provokes anger and anger causes us to sin.

Offence can come from anyone and from any quarter in life. When we are offended by people, especially those we love and trust, the pain and hurt runs deep hence we must ask the Holy Spirit to help us deal with hurts and offense so it doesn’t hinder the flow and move of GOD in our lives.

Friends, #OffenceIsAGiven! It is a part of the things we must encounter and deal with in life! In Luke 17:1, scripture tells us “It is impossible that no offense should come.” So how can we overcome being subterfuged by offense?

The force of Love! The agape love of GOD is a key ingredient that we need to overcome this arrow of offense that the enemy constantly shoots at us! A good place to seek help is frankly opening ourselves up to the Father in prayers and receiving counsel from the scripture. 1 Corinthians 13 is a good reminder to us of the power of love to overcome all things! “Love…bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.” (1 Corinthians 13:8 NAS)

There you have it dear friends. Our wisdom for today: Refuse to be caught in the trap of offense! When issues of life happen (as they are bound to), never harbour offence but ask the LORD for a compassionate heart of love to respond to offence.

Is there someone or are there people you need to release from your heart today as a result of offense? Go right ahead and ask the LORD for help to let go of those offense completely! Contact them and make amends. Remember the scenario in scripture where we are asked to leave our offering at the altar and first be reconciled to our brother? As you action this step, you will see that it’s liberating and indeed, your change and testimonies will come rushing in.

My prayer for you and I dear friend, is that GOD will help us by His Spirit to make things right with the people in our lives, removing offense even in its subtlest form causing us to live a life of freedom in GOD Amen.

May this bait of offense never ever cause you and I to be caught in satan’s trap again, the LORD having exposed it, may we recognise and avoid it promptly however veiled the enemy makes it in the name of JESUS CHRIST Amen and Amen.

Offense is a fence people! Do not allow that barrier between you and the beautiful plans of GOD for your life. Stay strong! Stay offense-free!

I love and honour you!
