Day 37 – Doors, Locks and Bars: Divinely Securing What God Has Built
On Day 37 of our 52-day journey, the Lord moves us from strength (cedar beams) to security.
Building strong walls and hanging gates on quality beams is essential — but incomplete. If the door is left unlocked or the bar is missing, the enemy still has access.
Throughout Nehemiah 3 we see a repeated pattern:
“They set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof.”
God is teaching us a threefold system of divine security:
1. The Door – Jesus Himself
John 10:9 – “I am the door…”
He is the only legitimate access point. Every other entry is a thief’s entrance.
We must deliberately guard the gates of our eyes, ears, mouth, heart, home, and finances. What we allow in determines what flows out.
2. The Lock – Keys of Authority
Matthew 16:19 – The keys of the kingdom have been given to us.
Prayer, decrees, and the spoken Word are the keys. A key unused is powerless. We must engage our authority.
3. The Bar – The Hedge of Protection
The heavy bar placed across the door (especially at night) represents the Holy Spirit’s hedge (Job 1:10) and the covering of Psalm 91.
No night attack, no stealthy dream invasion, no devourer is permitted.
Today we activate all three:
- Jesus becomes our only Door.
- We receive and use the keys of the kingdom.
- We install the bar of divine protection.
What God has built and is still building in our lives, finances, families, and destinies is now secured threefold.
Enemy access denied.
The work stands.
