We gathered again this morning in worship and thanksgiving, lifting our voices to the God who is from beginning to the end—the One who needs no one to be God, yet has chosen to call us His own. We blessed His name, asked for cleansing by the blood of Jesus, and presented ourselves before Him with pure hearts.
This is Day 2 of our 52-day journey of Debt Deliverance and Rebuilding Financial Walls. We are still in Week One, where we confront the debt head-on. Our foundational scripture remains 2 Kings 4:1–7, and today we stayed on verse 1:
“There was a woman whose husband belonged to the group of prophets. When her husband died, she called out to Elisha for help. She said, ‘Your servant my husband is dead. He served the Lord faithfully. My husband was in debt to a certain man. Now that man wants to take my two children to be his slaves.’”
Like that widow, we are not silent. We have come to the only One who can truly help us. We are not alone. God sees us in our situations.
Key Truths from Day 2
- There is no shame in admitting debt when we bring it to the God who can deliver us.
- The oil that paid the debt has already been activated. What Jesus finished on the cross over 2,000 years ago, we are now taking delivery of.
- Obadiah 1:17 declares: “On Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.” It is time to possess what belongs to us.
- Colossians 2:14 reminds us that Jesus cancelled the charge of our legal indebtedness and nailed it to the cross. Our debt records have already been dealt with.
- This is a season of Jubilee (Leviticus 25)—a time of restoration, release, and return to what is rightfully ours.
Powerful Declarations We Made
- Every debt is cancelled by the blood of Jesus.
- Generational records of indebtedness are wiped clean.
- We cease to borrow and step into the covenant of surplus.
- We are lenders to nations, not borrowers.
- The anointing that breaks the yoke of debt is released over our lives, families, and the works of our hands.
Action Step
Continue writing down every debt—every naira, dollar, euro, pound, or whatever currency. Place that list before the Lord daily throughout these 21 days. What you can name, God can handle.
Invitation
This deliverance is for those who belong to Christ. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, or if you have drifted away, today is your day. Come to Him. He will not cast you out. Say:
“Lord Jesus, I come to You. Forgive my sins. Take me as Your own. I surrender to You as my Lord and Saviour. Qualify me for everything You have prepared in these 21 days. Amen.”
Closing Encouragement
You are not alone. You are seen. The God of the universe has called this altar and activated the oil that paid the debt. Show up consistently. Engage fully. The mountain of debt is becoming a plain. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with us all.
Who the Son sets free is free indeed.
