KNOW YOUR TIME AND SEASON?

KNOW YOUR TIME AND SEASON?

Hello friend! Thanks for turning in here! This is where we come to gain understanding of the things we need to put in place and proper perspective to enjoy the glorious life Father GOD has for us. Please do ensure you put in your comments. I would love to read your thoughts too!

So glad I could blog today. I woke up just some minutes before midnight due to painful cramps on my legs and I wondered what could be the cause. I may be wrong but I have this belief that I get woken up by cramps when GOD wants to get my attention. I regard cramps as a call to sensitivity to the Spirit of GOD. What are some of your own call to sensitivity? Please share as I may just be missing out on some GOD-moments!

As I tried to relieve the pain I felt on both legs, a thought of the day’s date dropped in my heart! June 12th! For me, this day is not just a holiday (it is actually a national holiday in my country Nigeria), it is the day of my espousement to Christ! On June 12 2009, I made a commitment to GOD to be espoused to Him forever. I got a new study bible and wrote my commitment in it! This means that despite being born again, I decided that I would commit to being my LORD’s exclusively by being more serious with the things that are dear to His heart and thus began a whole new journey in my life. That season of my life was a beautiful one. I studied the word like never before! I documented stuff in various journals! I took time to cultivate my friendship and relationship with my LORD and Father! I forged a very strong bond with the Holy Spirit! Since then, I have gone through various times and seasons in my life some of them in which my fire was not roaring hot but to GOD’s glory, despite the twists and turns of life, I have remained steadfast and strong in my pursuit of the Father, falling sometimes but rising back nonetheless! Just like that song says, “I have decided to follow JESUS, no turning back, no turning back!

One of the seasons of life that came upon me was through which this blog was birthed a year and two months ago. GOD brought some people into my life and they helped midwife this blog into existence. I remain eternally grateful for those who yielded to GOD through their encouragements and push. I appreciate again today my spiritual mother and mentor Pastor Mayokun Oreofe who was pivotal in my being mentored by Mrs Audrey Joe-Ezigbo. My Coaches, Coach Sola Adesakin and Coach Ayanfeoluwa Oluwaseun and my dear brother and collaborator, Deji Ajijola. These people helped in making my dream of many years(having a blog) come alive in the space of 24hours! Amazing, isn’t it? When the blog started, I blogged every Wednesday but after a while, I wasn’t so regular with the weekly posts but I would blog maybe once or twice a month and after a while, I began to get concerned until I had a mentoring session with Mrs Audrey Joe-Ezigbo where she told me that I should not beat myself up but be open and sensitive to my times and seasons and recognize that GOD would sometimes change our itinerary from our own mapped out plans.

Dear friend, as I type this now, I suspect a new season is upon me because I just realized that this is the longest blog post I have written and I really haven’t made the main point of this post yet. I usually keep them short but I guess GOD has something to say to you and I and we would do well to listen to Him! I believe it is time for someone reading this to step out of the mold holding them back! I believe it is time for you and I to ponder on and critically assess the times and current season of our lives.

The expression TIMES AND SEASONS has somewhat become for many a cliché, something that they’ve become familiar and comfortable with. It is a subject that preachers speak about often using many biblical samples and passages from the bible but I want to spiritualize it less but encourage us to think practically about it as we consider the subject today with deep and serious considerations of what the times and seasons of our lives portends for us on the journey of life and destiny especially as regards our day to day activities.

In Ecclesiastes 3:1-10, the bible highlights the various times and seasons one could go through. There are times and seasons that must not be missed or misappropriated. There is a time and a place that is a KAIROS MOMENT which many times can’t and may not be repeated on the journey of life and destiny hence the need to live circumspect and sensitive at every point in time! Dear friend, it is imperative for you and I to be sensitive and knowledgeable about the time and season of our lives per time. If I may ask you dear friend, what time and season of life are you in? Can you recognize it? I am not just referring to spiritual matters alone here!

Let me ask you a few questions beloved friend. I assure you I am not exempt from answering these questions myself!

Is it the time and season to declutter? Perhaps your mind, handbag, house, room, office, wardrobe or bag? Nothing beats a well organized life! Is it time to leverage on your relationships and circles? The gift of men is one of the best gifts one can have. I pray that you and I will enjoy the best Father GOD has for us in this regard Amen. Is it time to be quiet, speak up or do as occasion serves you? Is it time to expand that business or venture into fresh waters? You can break free from every fear and limitation holding you back! Is it time to get your financial acts together? Is it time to save consistently and invest financially? Is it time to forgive and move on from a long-standing matter so you can open the door to good to swing for you? Is it time to come clean with your spouse/boss/partner about certain issues hindering the growth of your relationship? Is it time to launch out on that new assignment? Is it time to collaborate with other like-minded individuals? Many times, it makes sense not to go it alone! Is it time to stop procrastinating and start being proactive? Get going one step at a time on those dreams of yours! The list of what time it is for you may not be highlighted here but with serious and truthful consideration on your part and on mine, leveraging on our relationship with the Father and looking in-depth into our lives, we would be able to ascertain what time and season it is for us and be supernaturally helped to take action.

Listen beloved friend, your time is your time! Your season is your season! Ensure that your life, time and season is not guided by or predicated on someone else’s. Look inwards and do as is needed for you! Do not be a proxy in your own life script! Arise! Get sensitive! Learn to ascertain your time and season per time and flow along with the Father as a most willing participant!

Here’s to a sensitive you and me! May we be in tune and on point with the times and seasons of our lives Amen and Amen. Have a most amazing day! I love and honour you!
