FAST FRIDAY FOR FIRSTBORNS FRIDAY 2 SEPTEMBER 2022 THEME: FILLED WITH AND CONTROLLED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT TEXT: LUKE 1:41 AMPC “And it occurred that when Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with and controlled by the Holy Spirit.”
Blessings beloved parent-intercessors. Welcome to September; our month of the Holy Spirit. Welcome to the the first Friday in September 2022. I trust August was a wonderful time of rest and bonding with the family. We thank Abba for the grace of restoration and return to our time of fasting, praying and supplication.
Today, our request is that our firstborns and by extension our other children will encounter the person of the Holy Spirit afresh, be filled with and controlled by the workings of this same Spirit.
Using our key text today, let us pray:
• That our firstborns and by extension our other children will hear the voice of the Spirit. That the call, pull and tug on their hearts by the Spirit will not be ignored.
• That as this call and voice of the LORD stirs them up, our children will in turn respond positively to the promptings. That there will be a leap in their hearts that will open them up to what GOD has for them.
• That our firstborns and by extension our other children will be filled with the Holy Spirit all of their days. Not only will the infilling be their experience, but we pray they will also be controlled by the Holy Spirit.
• Let us pray that our children are fully yielded to the leadership of the LORD by His Spirit at work in them.
Please take time to pray this prayer in the language of the Spirit as well as in your understanding.
