CIRCUMSPECT LIVING

CIRCUMSPECT LIVING

FAST FRIDAY FOR FIRSTBORNS FRIDAY 2 DECEMBER 2022 THEME: CIRCUMSPECT LIVING TEXT: 1 Thessalonians 5:6 AM “So then let us not sleep [in spiritual indifference] as the rest [of the world does], but let us keep wide awake [alert and cautious] and let us be sober [self-controlled, calm, and wise].”

Blessings beloved parent-intercessors. Welcome to December! May your joy overflow this month over your children and all other things that concern you Amen.

It’s the first Friday of the last month of year 2022 and what better time and day to appreciate Father GOD for His doings in our families and particularly our children’s lives. Abba has kept them and He has been their guard and guide and it is in order that we commit them unto Abba’s able hands yet again today. We cannot and must never get tired of bringing our children before their Father and maker, the One who is at the helm of the affairs of their lives.

Today, as we bring our firstborns and by extension our other children before the Father, we want to ask the LORD to cause them to live circumspectly. Being circumspect is a good quality our children must possess. To be circumspect is to be cautious. It is to be wise. It is to walk in the fear of GOD.

So our prayer today is that our children will not be unguided and unguarded. Our prayer is that they will be cautious and wise in their decisions. That they will not of themselves walk into a trap just because they are careless and unthinking. That they will always think things through before they take action(s).

Let us therefore meditate on the following scriptures and pray with them:

Exodus 23:13 KJV “And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.”

Pray: That your firstborn and by extension your other children will walk in the reverential fear of GOD. That GOD their Father will be first in their lives and they will not be found in or with anything contrary to the ways of life.

1 Peter 1:13 AM “So prepare your minds for action, be completely sober [in spirit—steadfast, self-disciplined, spiritually and morally alert], fix your hope completely on the grace [of GOD] that is coming to you when JESUS CHRIST is revealed.”

Pray: That your firstborn and by extension your other children will be steadfast in their walk with GOD. That they will be self-disciplined on the journey of life and that they will be spiritually alert and morally upright. That all these qualities will not be missing from their lives.

Ephesians 5: 15-17 NKJV “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the LORD is.”

Pray: That your firstborn and by extension your other children will find companionship with wise companies of people. That they will not find themselves mixed up with fools. That they will always understand GOD’s will for them and walk in it.

Proverbs 2: 10-12 NKJV “When wisdom enters your heart, And knowledge is pleasant to your soul, Discretion will preserve you; Understanding will keep you, To deliver you from the way of evil, From the man who speaks perverse things.”

Pray: That at every juncture of life, your firstborn and by extension your other children will grant access to wisdom ways. That they will always conduct themselves discretely even as they gain understanding of navigation paths that will lead them to life and not destruction. That they will be able to see beyond the physical veneers of the hearts and intent of people.

Proverbs 4:23&26 NKJV “Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life. Ponder the path of your feet, And let all your ways be established.”

Pray: That the heart of your firstborn and by extension your other children will be kept diligently. That their motives and intents will be pleasing to GOD always. That their feet will be guided into all truth as they navigate their life paths.

Matthew 7:24 NKJVTherefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:”

Pray: That your firstborn and by extension your other children will always hearken to the voice of GOD. That they will always hearken to the teachings and guidance of the Holy Spirit. That they will always be sensitive to the prompts of the Holy Spirit and that they will be firmly rooted in CHRIST.

To your duty posts beloved parent-intercessors. May the Father hear and heed our requests this day and always because we have asked according to His word and in the name of His Son, our LORD JESUS CHRIST Amen.
