FAST FRIDAY FOR FIRSTBORNS

THEME: MARVELOUS HELP OF GOD
TEXT:2 CHRONICLES 26:15 “And his fame spread far, for he was marvelously helped, till he was strong.”
Today, as we present ourselves to fast and pray for our firstborns and by extension our other children, we are seeking the marvelous help of GOD for them.
Last week, we prayed for mercy and help for advantage for our firstborns and today, we continue on securing the help of GOD for our seeds. The “marvelous help of GOD ” is a fitting description of the enabling power of the Holy Spirit that is at work in a man’s life: “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth…for he dwells with you and will be in you” (John 14:16-17). Today, ask that the Holy Spirit will marvelously help your firstborn and make him/her strong in the LORD and in the power of His might. What are those areas of weakness? What are those areas that your children need to be aided by the Spirit of GOD? Call to the Helper today for the release of His marvelous help and don’t relent till they are made strong.
As your children receive this special grace and enablement, teach them to remember where their strength comes from and give GOD the glory because pride is always lurking behind any success that one may achieve, even when achieved through GOD’s help.
To our duty posts dear mums and dads. As we pray today, may we continually persevere in our supplication to the LORD for the lives and destiny-fulfilment of our children and may we have a good reward for our labours over them in the name of JESUS CHRIST – Amen.
