ROOT OUT DISOBEDIENCE

ROOT OUT DISOBEDIENCE

FAST FRIDAY FOR FIRSTBORNS
FRIDAY 19TH MARCH 2021
THEME: TAKE OUT THE ROOT OF DISOBEDIENCE FROM MY FIRSTBORN O LORD

TEXT: 1 SAMUEL 15: 22 “But Samuel said: “Has the LORD  as  great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the LORD ? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams.”

Beautifully blessed day beloved mums, dads and parent-intercessors. Welcome to the third Friday in March 2021 and our ninth corporate Fast Friday in the year. We give GOD thanks for bringing us to and preserving us still in the third month of the year and thank Him for the privilege given us and our children to be called by His name.

Today, we are asking that our firstborns will be helped beyond themselves to not fall into the error of disobedience.

In the beginning, Adam and Eve fell from grace when they disobeyed GOD’s instruction. In 1 Samuel 15, we see the account of King Saul’s very costly disobedience. His disobedience cost him the throne GOD had given to his lineage and his disobedience too gave a generational consequence just like that of Adam and Eve.

Today we want to ask the LORD for mercy for our children not to lose their consecration before the LORD. Today, we want to seek the LORD for the mercy of preservation of the thrones of our chosen ones.

Let us then pray:

1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Pray: Father on behalf of my firstborn,  I confess my sins and those of my progenitors that may want to rob my firstborn or implicate him(her) to be disobedient. Father, I repent and ask for Your mercy.

Acts 5:29 “But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men.”

Pray: Father, because situations and circumstances stronger than us sometimes assail us, I ask for help that my firstborn will not obey the urge that causes sin or the voices that encourage sin but he(she) will be able to stand, in the face and day of adversity, his(her) strength will not fail in the name of JESUS.

To your duty posts beloved parent-intercessors. May the LORD heed us Amen. See you at the corporate fast breaking meeting at 6pm WAT.

I love and honour you!
