LIFE GUIDANCE

LIFE GUIDANCE

FAST FRIDAY FOR FIRSTBORNS FRIDAY 18TH NOVEMBER 2022 THEME: LIFE GUIDANCE  TEXT: PSALM 23:2-3 TPT “He offers a resting place for me in His luxurious love. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace near the quiet brook of bliss. That’s where He restores and revives my life. He opens before me the right path and leads me along in His footsteps of righteousness so that I can bring honor to His name.”

Blessings beloved parent-intercessors. Welcome to another Friday. The year 2022 is gradually winding down and we are grateful for the LORD’s help in keeping us on track as we navigate with the Father, seeking His face for the lives of our firstborns and by extension our other children.

On the journey of life, there are always decisions to be made and it is usually riddled with a lot of uncertainties. As human beings, we love to have clarity and we love to receive guidance that can help us fast track while navigating. We love to be precise and not uncertain or confused.

With uncertainties and confusion come fear, worry, & sometimes for some, many sleepless nights. This doesn’t have to be us or our children as we have The Life Navigator and Guide as our Father. This should excite and bring us comfort every time especially when we are in the foggy valley of decision.

Today, our fast, prayer and separation is specifically to ask GOD our Father to guide our children’s future especially when they get to seasons of transition. Transitions are many times uncertain periods and we and our children need all the help we can get so we dont flounder.

1 Timothy 6:17-19 “Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in GOD, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.”

Even in our uncertainty, we are still commanded to do good and this means even in your confusion, you are still an extension of blessing to those around you who may need help in another area that you have conquered. This scripture shows us that life is not solely about us as individuals. So we want to pray for our children:

Father, help my firstborn and by extension my other children to understand that even in their struggle, they are still to be a blessing to others. Help my children to not be selfish or self-serving on the journey of life. May they be an extension of Your heart to their world putting their faith, value and time for the glory of GOD and the benefit of others Amen.

Proverbs 23:18 TPT “Your future is bright and filled with a living hope that will never fade away.”

It is a given that our firstborns and by extension our other children will feel uncertain about their life path or the decision they have to make. It is normal (but erroneous) for them to ask questions such as why me? One thing is sure though, GOD has a plan for each one of them and none of them is alone! We therefore want to pray from this scenario:

Father, guide our children into all truth. Help them to always know that You are with them always and they can rest in Your guiding light and voice. Help them to clear every cloud of uncertainty and confusion. Help them to remember their identity as Your victorious child. Help them to navigate to Your good plan for their lives Amen.

Proverbs 1:5 AMPC “The wise also will hear and increase in learning, and the person of understanding will acquire skill and attain to sound counsel [so that he may be able to steer his course rightly].”

Our children need to be taught and  learn that they can’t do life alone based on their own knowledge. They need knowledge and more importantly, humility, so as to submit themselves to GOD-picked authority so they will be well-guided at different junctures and seasons of life. There is a need for them to constantly seek wisdom from elders, parents, coaches, mentors and godly people whose judgement they respect & trust regarding various aspects of their lives. No matter how old our children are, there is always more they can learn from those who have been helped by GOD and who have gone ahead of them in various spheres of life. So we want to pray for them:

Father, we pray for humility for our firstborns and by extension our other children. May they always submit to the authority, help and guidance they need per time. May they be receptive to learning and guidance through CHRIST our LORD Amen.

To your duty posts beloved parent-intercessors. May the Father hear and heed our requests this day and always because we have asked according to His word and in the name of His Son, our LORD JESUS CHRIST Amen.
